Andreya Triana

Andreya Triana is an experimental and self taught singer and songwriter originally hailing from South East London, currently based in Brighton. Andreya Triana's debut single was released on the 6th of April 2010 on Ninja Tune and is titled 'Lost Where I Belong' and, like the forthcoming album, is produced by Simon Green, a.k.a Bonobo. Her debut album is due for release on the 23rd of August 2010.

Andreya Triana grew up in a multicultural atmosphere. She began singing at age of 7 taking influence from the sights and sounds of inner city London. Her early passion for music would see her locked in her bedroom for hours on end writing poetry, making homemade mix tapes and recording tracks - utilising two battered cassette decks to record harmonies. She moved to Worcester in the West Midlands at 14 and at 17 she started doing an open mic night at the local music venue where the owner introduced her to a collective of musicians. It was with this collective of musicians, called Bootis that was to form the bench mark for her 'musical education'.

In 2009 she performed at Glastonbury festival on the BBC Introducing stage.
