Get-Stas!

‘Character’, that’s the keyword for our music. ‘Get-Stas!’ brings you pure rockmusic, with a nice sound, and which already is greatly appreciated by in- and outsiders of the music industry. But first, let me introduce ourselves, ‘Get-Stas!’ is: Mart Steenbeek Vocals Pim van der Neut Keyboards Marc van der Heijden (Nickname: ‘The Stas’) Guitars, Producer, Songwriter Twan van der Heijden (Marc’s brother) Bass guitar Bas van der Heijden (Marc’s son) Drums The formation as shown above, exists for roughly one year. And unless the fact that the band Get-Stas! is just one year old, the music itself exists longer. I think this has to be clarified: the most of the tracks on the album “And Don’t Lose It…..” has been written over the past 20 years. That, in combination with new tracks gives us an enormous supply of songs, which has been ‘characterised’ through the years, and which all have their own sound, story and atmosphere. And then, after a long scouting expedition for finding the right people to perform and record with, Get-Stas! has come into existence. We recorded and produced in our own home studio and we started our own production label, ‘Marc 4Productions’. In November 2009, our album has been officially released in the Netherlands. After the release and the positive reception that our debut album received, the band has been offered an opportunity to give the album a worldwide release. Which means that the album’s promotion and availability has become truly international. The album and the individual songs can now be bought from more than 600 online shops, including Itunes. And among the diverse promotional strategies will be banners on such sites as youtube. Another positive side to the promotional activities is that our music will be given airplay on more than 30.000 radio stations around the globe. It’s obvious that we were quietly surprised by the positive way in which people respond to our music. Everything developed so fast; (local) radio stations attached our tracks to their playlists, asked us to have interviews, and in March our album even has been advanced to ‘album of the month’. Since a few weeks ago we’re receiving e-mails (like yours) from all over the world, and even from countries I didn’t heard of before. Of course we are very pleased with all those positive reactions, of which we hope they’ll proceed.
